Job Overview:

The Dealer Manager is a strategic, high impact role responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with all Raymond and Toyota Material Handling (TMH) dealers. The Dealer Manager will operate at the intersection of multiple organizations within Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO), driving alignment, influencing outcomes, and leading automation opportunities. Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) is the parent company for TMHNA, which includes Raymond and Toyota Material Handling.

This role requires an executive presence, the ability to navigate politically complex environments, and a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial outcomes. The Dealer Manager will act as both a trusted advisor and a challenger, surfacing difficult issues, and advancing strategic growth across the dealer network.

Job Functions:
  • Serve as dealer's primary point of contact with Toyota Automated Logistics. Serve as "voice of customer" from dealer to Toyota Automated Logistics, facilitating clear feedback (positive & negative).
  • Increase Toyota Automated Logistics OEM product sales through dealers as appropriate.
  • Partner with dealers on integrated systems opportunities from opportunity identification through hand-off to technical sales.
  • Join dealer sales personnel on customer site visits, opportunity evaluation, and qualification.
  • Train, coach, and develop strong working relationships with dealer leadership, sales and technical teams.
  • Build and execute joint strategic sales strategies.
  • Establish and maintain clear ways of working, goals, and incentives across dealer network.
  • Ensure mutual success for dealers and Toyota Automated Logistics.
  • Grow and manage a team of dealer development partners.


Travel Requirements:
  • 50% travel to dealers, customers, trade shows, industry events


Required Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 - 10 years in material handling and/or industrial automation is preferred
  • Capability of developing strategies to enable growth in dealer automation sales channels via both automation opportunities and OEM sales.
  • Capability to manage multiple dealer relationships simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and focus on key objectives that drive mutual success.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with executive level personnel at Toyota Automated Logistics, dealers, and TMHNA
  • Significant strategic and analytical skills.
  • Staying power, with the ability to handle positive and negative business conditions with the confidence to speak your mind and challenge as necessary.
  • Positive, energetic, and highly motivated to succeed.
  • Ability to:
  • Visit customer sites and identify opportunities.
  • Brainstorm solutions / discuss industry trends with dealers and customers.
  • Confidently engage with senior leaders internally and externally.
  • Strong technical aptitude / technical sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of material handling and information flows within warehousing & manufacturing operations.
  • Bachelor's degree (a degree in an Engineering Discipline a plus)
  • 5-10 years in material handling and/or industrial automation is preferred.
  • Solution sales experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated strategic sales and business development experience.
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
