Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the services of 1 Database Administrator 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Database Administrator 3, Data/Database Administration and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
We are seeking a Senior Operational Oracle DBA to ensure the stability, patching, and scalability of critical database environments that support multiple concurrent ERP implementations and upgrades.
The primary responsibility is to design and execute database upgrades from Oracle 19c to Oracle 23ai, and to maintain multiple environments that support ETL activities. Candidates must have hands-on experience with Grid Infrastructure setup and maintenance, security vulnerability compliance, and performance tuning.
Required Experience (8 years minimum each):
- Infrastructure management with Oracle 19c or higher.
- Grid infrastructure experience, including ASM and Clusterware.
- High-availability technologies such as GoldenGate and Active Data Guard.
- Advanced scripting skills (Linux, SQL).
Preferred Experience:
- 4 years: Experience working with a public sector organization (Federal, State, or Local Government).
- 2 years: Experience working with a hosting vendor.
- 2 years: Experience working with Oracle PeopleSoft products.
