Job DescriptionACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and maintain Taxonomy Navigation paths to organize our extensive product selection for customers.
- Independently manage the taxonomies in collaboration with Director Product Operations, Director Search Excellence and VP Web Experience. Make recommendations to management of changes. Establish regular interval meetings to discuss taxonomy changes with key stakeholders.
- Monitor the electronics industry for new technologies. Review competitor and supplier websites on a regular basis to stay apprised of changes. Analyze new supplier offerings for best fit of their product within our taxonomy.
- Analyze website metrics and customer behavior to make intelligent decisions on optimizing our taxonomy navigation hierarchy in collaboration with Director of Search Marketing and the Architect of Analytics and Syndication.
- Creates procedures and guidelines to ensure the taxonomy hierarchies are relevant to the product and/ or technology.
- Participate in the suggestion of data integrity rules and establish procedures and processes to maintain data quality. Analyze our data to determine what data quality rules need to created. Assist with the creation and testing of the data quality rules in collaboration with the Product Data Analyst Manager. Monitor the website to ensure the data quality rules are working as intended.
- Ensures data is relevant for users that are sourcing products, in all regions worldwide while supporting and participating in the company total quality process.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Skill evaluation: Behavioral (80%); Excel (80%)
- Experience using Product Information Management (PIM) Systems
- Experience in reading and using Technical Data Sheets and Product Guides.
- Knowledge of suppliers and product.
- Exhibits strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, organizational and teaching skills.
- Ability and/or experience to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability and/or experience to write reports, business correspondence, articles and presentations.
- PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, proficient with internet e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and other software.
- Valid driver's license, proof of insurance and good driving record.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Degree from four-year College or University in Electrical Engineering and/or an approved field.
- Five to Seven years of experience in taxonomy development or equivalent combination of education and experience
