Job Summary:
Join the STU team of Cat Digital and be responsible for employing data analytics to assess an organization's technical performance and makes system enhancement recommendations.

What You Will Do:

  • Analyzing customer requirements based on the understanding of conformed models and catering solutions that are implementable and maintainable.
  • Discerning data accuracies in large sets of data of diverse formats
  • Researching, designing, and documenting data specifications at all points in the production life cycle.
  • Understanding software development and web technologies and having proficiency in SQL and other data programming languages.

What You Will Have:

  • Value Realization: Basic knowledge of value realization methods; ability to plan, execute, monitor and manage business activities and resources to determine and achieve the actual value from a business initiative as estimated in an associated business case.
  • Communicating Complex Concepts: Working knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
  • Agile Development: Working knowledge of agile methodologies and the agile development lifecycle; ability to utilize formal agile methodologies, disciplines, practices and techniques for the delivery of new and enhanced applications.
  • Cloud Computing: Working knowledge of the concepts, technologies and services of cloud computing; ability to design, deploy and implement cloud computing solutions in various business environment.
  • Database Design (Physical): Working knowledge of database systems; ability to establish a data model for designing an organization's database that runs effectively and efficiently for better business outcome.
  • ETL Process: Working knowledge of the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) process; ability to develop a database through the ETL process.
  • Information Management: Extensive knowledge of an organization's existing and planned Information Architecture and Information Management (IM) methodology; ability to collect and manage information from different sources, and distribute this information to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Modeling: Data, Process, Events, Objects: Working knowledge of data, process and events; ability to use tools and techniques for analyzing and documenting logical relationships among data, processes or events.

Considerations for Top Candidates:

  • Understanding of information management concepts such as controlled vocabularies, authority control, data modeling, and schema design.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end data lifecycle across traditional data warehouses, relational databases, operational data stores, business intelligence reporting, as well as new concepts such as data fabrics, data mesh, and data lakehouse. .
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, data modeling, and data architecture concepts
  • Experience creating data solutions as well as conceptual and logical data models
  • Demonstrated Data Design for Big Data, Analytics and applications
  • AWS Cloud Based Technologies for Data Processing and Persistence (DynamoDB, S3, Aurora, Kinesis, SQS, SNS, Lambda, Fargate, Glue)
  • Snowflake and other business intelligence experience
  • Experience with data profiling tools such as Alteryx
  • Knowledge of data technology products and components for Big Data and Cloud (AWS, Data Lakes, and similar).
  • XML and JSON file format knowledge
  • Experience with Object Oriented Concepts/Development/Modeling
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a complex, rapidly changing, and culturally diverse environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where digital is still evolving as a core offering


Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
