Location: Remote (Hawaii preferred)

Clearance Needed: Secret

Are you ready for a challenge that will keep you on the leading edge of big data analytics? Do you have experience leveraging Python and scripts to work with both structured and unstructured data to develop automated analytic solutions? Imagine yourself working on top-level, critical mission sets alongside other seasoned professionals. Parsons is now hiring a Data Scientist with a passion for innovation and solving mission critical challenges to support our US PACOM customer.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and meet objectives; perform data collection, analysis, and interpretation to support strategic initiatives.
  • Retrieve, clean, and validate large structured and unstructured datasets for accuracy and usability.
  • Can explain complex, technically difficult information in an easily-understood manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate predictive models and algorithms to support decision-making processes; continuously monitor and refine models to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Educate and mentor on how to effectively use and interpret data, ensuring users can independently derive insights and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.


Required Education/Experience:
  • 7 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; will consider experience in lieu of degree
  • 7 years' experience working in a multi-skilled team environment collaborating on data analytics
  • Bachelor's Degree in related technical or scientific field or
    - equivalent experience within related field.
  • Experience implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines and workflow automation
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., matplotlib) and big data technologies (e.g., Pandas, Spark).
  • Capable of intuitively solving complex problems, working independently, with minimal guidance.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills for tracking requests and project fulfillment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Active DoD Secret-level security clearance


Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience supporting an INDOPACOM or US Army customer
  • Capacity to lead or assist in an AI/ML Engineer role
  • Experience supporting USINDOPACOM intelligence and/or operations
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS)


Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
