Responsibilities

Noblis is hiring a Computer Vision (CV)Data Scientist with an active security clearance (TS/SCI with a polygraph) to join our team in Reston, Virginia.

In this role, you will partner with the Sponsor to develop AI models that enable computers to interpret and analyze visual data such as images, video, and sensor feeds. You will help design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models that support capabilities such as object detection, data triage, search optimization, inference, facial recognition, behavior detection, automated discovery, and decision support. You'll also maintain model versioning, evaluate model performance, and identify emerging vulnerabilities to improve the security and effectiveness of deployed solutions.

What You'll Do:
  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate cutting-edge research and open-source technologies into mission-focused AI/ML solutions.
  • Design, develop, train, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models.
  • Collect, curate, process, and analyze large, complex datasets to support model development.
  • Research, implement, document, and communicate technical approaches, methodologies, and results.
  • Leverage high-performance computing resources, including GPU clusters and cloud-based environments, to train and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative capabilities that directly support national security missions.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance with a current Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience; OR Master's degree with 3 years of related experience; OR associate's degree with 8 years of related experience; OR High School diploma/GED with 11 years of related experience.
  • Experience developing and deploying machine learning models, with expertise in areas such as statistical modeling, time-series forecasting, geospatial analytics, or computer vision (CV).

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency in industry-standard data science tools and programming languages, including Python, PostgreSQL/SQL, Apache Spark, and Git.
  • Experience with Apache NiFi
  • Experience working with open-source and large-scale datasets.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cleaning, transforming, managing, and optimizing large, complex datasets for analysis and machine learning applications.
  • Familiarity with distributed data processing and big data technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, or similar parallel computing frameworks.
  • Experience working in cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of software and hardware optimization techniques to improve the performance and scalability of data-intensive and AI/ML workloads.
  • Experience designing, developing, and training deep learning and computer vision models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range

USD $120,700.00 - USD $188,725.00 /Yr.
