For eligible current federal employees, a relocation incentive MAY be available. Eligibility for a relocation incentive requires proof of a change in residence and an assignment at a worksite in a different geographic area greater than or equal to 50 miles from the prior worksite. UNIT DESCRIPTION GCAU is the FBI's pioneering unit dedicated to enterprise-wide collection analysis to contextualize corporate intelligence collection and dissemination, with the mission of informing the most effective planning and direction of intelligence collection resources toward organizational mission priorities. GCAU applies data-based approaches to understanding the FBI's intelligence collection posture across threats and programs. GCAU deploys a variety of technical solutions ranging from but not limited to; software development, data collection/exploitation, data ingestion, computer science, AI/ML, data science, data analytics and visualizations, commercial-off-the-shelf/Government-off-the-shelfs (COTS/GOTS) tools, cloud integration, exploitation tools and methods to modernize and proliferate data-based collection analysis methodologies across the organization.

MAJOR DUTIES GS-13: • Create technical solutions from FBIHQ and Field Office requirements to deploy tools for timely data aggregation, analysis, and visualization of intelligence collection information.
• Provide guidance and customer support to FBIHQ and Field Office users as needed.
• Collaborate with FBI stakeholders, members of the intelligence community, and foreign partners, to stay abreast of industry trends and needs.
• Evaluate large datasets based upon the application of mathematical tools, models, methods and techniques, with limited guidance.
• Perform data acquisition, processing and measurement to collect research data.
• Analyzeand interpretcomplex data by identifying and applying appropriate advanced exploratory and statistical techniques, and validating findings using an iterative approach.
• Providescientific, statistical, and technical consultations about the best applicable practices and new techniques, then present key findings to partners, stakeholders and executives.
• Determine project specifications to bridge the gap between users and requirements, technical implementation, and executive management direction, to deliver a robust final product.
GS-14: In addition to the above, the selectee will:
• Innovate ways to evaluate large datasets based upon the application of mathematical tools, models, methods and techniques, with limited guidance.
• Innovate ways to perform data acquisition, processing and measurement to collect research data.
• Modelcomplex problem-sets to help discover insights and identify opportunities using statistical, algorithmic, and visualization techniques.
• Provide architectural guidance of multi-discipline, innovative solutions (i.e. data analytics, data science, computer science, software, hardware, networking, ML, AI, cloud integration, etc.).

Positive Education Requirement This position has a specific education requirement; all applicants must verify completion of this basic education requirement by submitting a copy of their college transcripts by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.
A. Degree: Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science OR in a field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position. OR
B. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
Specialized Experience (SE) GS-13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
• Evaluating large amounts of data by applying mathematical tools, models, methods and techniques.
• Developing research designs and methodologies.
• Teaching computers to recognize patterns, make decisions or solve complex problems based on information.
GS-14: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-13 grade level. SE is defined as follows:

• Leading and implementing AI/ML in the FBI
• Modeling real-world problems and applying probability theory and statistical analysis to models and research data.
