Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support enterprise-wide data governance initiatives within a complex financial services environment. This individual will partner closely with technology teams, business stakeholders, compliance, and privacy groups to help shape and execute the organization's long-term data governance strategy.

This role will play a key part in evaluating current governance tools and processes, supporting AI-related governance capabilities, and helping drive the transition toward a more scalable and modern governance framework.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Analyze, define, implement, and promote effective utilization of enterprise data governance tools and related business technologies, including Copilot, SharePoint, Power BI, and other business accelerators, while operating with a high degree of independence under general management direction.
  • Evaluate and enhance the organization's data governance solutions strategy by identifying guiding principles, objectives, key components, and long-term roadmap initiatives for the continued evolution of the enterprise data governance toolset.
  • Establish governance standards and health metrics to ensure managed data remains accurate, complete, concise, and current.
  • Partner with Technology, Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, and related stakeholders to develop strategies leveraging enterprise AI investments to improve adoption and usability of data governance applications.
  • Lead analysis and definition of standardized enterprise-wide usage of data governance tools, with emphasis on metadata management and data quality aligned to the organization's Data Governance Framework.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify, document, and support data governance use cases and business needs associated with governance tooling, including data catalog and glossary utilization.
  • Serve as project lead for data governance-related initiatives in partnership with Technology teams, ensuring business requirements across data domains are properly implemented and transitioned into target-state solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with strategic partners across the enterprise, including Technology, Enterprise Data Operations, Internal Audit, Compliance, and related teams.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of data governance training programs to promote effective adoption and utilization of governance solutions.
  • Develop and deliver dashboards, reports, and progress metrics to monitor adoption and effectiveness of governance processes, tools, and guidelines.
  • Author and maintain process documentation and supporting materials related to enterprise data governance solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members within the Global Data Office organization.
