Data Engineer

Skills Required:
• Experience with Tableau dashboards and enhance data visualization capabilities.
• Familiarity with AWS Glue for data integration is beneficial for handling ETL processes.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira is advantageous for team collaboration.
• Exposure to AI tools like GitHub Copilot can improve efficiency.
• Understanding of scripting for automation is a plus.
• Strong Postgress SQL skills are essential for data extraction and manipulation.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop is crucial for creating impactful dashboards.
• Familiarity with Tableau Prep for data preparation is necessary.
• Experience in analyzing data quality issues is important for maintaining data integrity.
• Ability to troubleshoot data preparation and dashboard issues is a must.
• What you need to succeed
• University Degree in a related field
• Strong Postgress SQL skills and experience working with relational databases including creation of views, store procedures, joins and sub queries.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud.
• Practical experience using Tableau Prep to combine, clean, transform, and prepare data.
• Familiarity with Tableau administration, extract refreshes, user permissions, and deployment processes.
• Experience designing user-friendly, interactive, and performance-optimized Tableau dashboards.
• Exposure to the using AI tools like GitHub copilot for improved efficiency.

Preferred Skills
• Experience with Grafana dashboards and maintenance like improving performance, generating documenting of the metrics we have already in Grafana.
• Experience with AWS Glue for data cataloging, ETL, data integration, or pipeline development.
• Experience with Python or scripting for data transformation and automation.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams and using tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Roles and responsibilities:
• Cleanse, validate, standardize, and blend data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Extract, transform, and prepare data from multiple sources using SQL for reporting and business intelligence purposes.
• Write complex SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, common table expressions, aggregations, views, store procedure and window functions.
• Develop and maintain reliable data preparation workflows using Tableau Prep.
• Analyze data quality issues.
