Data Engineer

THE OPPORTUNITY

Michelin has an immediate opening for an on-site Data Engineer who will help us build, develop, maintain and support data and analytics systems. WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Develop, build, maintain, and support scalable data systems and pipelines that enable reliable analytics and reporting. 
  • Collect data from different sources and automate its ingestion, cleaning, structuring, and enrichment for business use.
  • Analyze needs expressed by key business resources and document solutions that align with the Michelin Group's requirements in terms of security, reliability, and confidentiality.
  • Ensures data quality, performance, security, and compliance with data governance guidelines.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, business analysts, and data scientists to understand requirements, and deliver effective design solutions.
  • Deploy and optimize data pipelines to ensure efficient, secure, and consistent data flow aligned with architectural standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve data issues and provide technical support to data teams to ensure smooth operations.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Application Development, Data Analytics or related technical experience.  For Entry Level, this can include internship, Co-op, apprentices, military service, or similar programs. 
  • BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Scientist, or a technical degree, or equivalent experience is preferred. 
  • Proficiency in the use of OSI or AVEVA PI systems is a plus. 
  • Ability to set priorities, work independently, and consistently deliver results with minimum supervision. 
  • Proven success working across teams, with the ability to clearly communicate in diverse, multi-functional environments.
  • Skilled at analyzing data, identifying patterns, and ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
