Canada/Argentina/MexicoPosition OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on QA Automation Engineer with strong Cypress, TypeScript, API, and automation framework experience to test web applications, APIs, and end-to-end workflows.
This is primarily an SDET / Test Automation role focused on building scalable automation, integrating tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring quality across Agile development teams.
Responsibilities- Lead the design, develop, and execute comprehensive automated testing strategies for UI, API, and DB testing and ensure automation is constantly running, analyzing, and promptly reporting on failures.
- Understanding PR Testing, release pipelines, and creation of pipelines in ADO.
- Proficiency in developing integration testing for API.
- Perform manual testing on user stories along with parallel automation testing.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases in ADO
- Liaise with product teams, Product Owners, and Scrum master's to integrate project plans, testing schedules, and metrics reporting.
Technical Skills- SQL, Postman, Cypress, and automated API testing
- TypeScript and C#
- Experience with creating automation framework and maintaining existing framework.
- Azure and AWS understanding
- Hands-on experience creating test plans and test cases using Azure DevOps
- functional and non-functional(minimal) requirements
- Able to provide requirements of the testing data needed to execute the test plan
- Deploying feature branch for story testing using Azure DevOps.
- Ability to work independently and support several developer teams focused mostly on Software-Oriented Architecture) SOA services or web development technologies (API / Web Service / REST)
- Experience in testing with Agile in a fast-paced environment with weekly production releases
- Cypress experience
- UI, Database, and API automation experience
Professional Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on test automation.
- Proven experience building, enhancing, and maintaining Cypress-based automation frameworks for enterprise web applications.
- Strong experience testing web applications, REST APIs, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) services.
- Experience working across multiple development teams and managing QA activities independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced Agile/Scrum environments with frequent production releases.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering reliable, high-quality software.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience implementing Cypress automation solutions across large-scale enterprise applications.
- Strong experience with API automation using Cypress.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD, Git workflows, and software release management.
- Experience testing cloud-native applications hosted on Azure or AWS.
- Strong debugging, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
