This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the cybersecurity team’s response to proactive, emerging, and observed threats, with explicit focus on AI‑enabled attack techniques and AI‑related enterprise risks, alongside traditional cyber threats. This role serves as a central coordinator across detection, threat intelligence, incident response, and technology teams to ensure the organization is prepared for, and can rapidly respond to, AI‑driven threat activity.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and maintain proactive threat scenarios and response playbooks with emphasis on AI‑enabled and emerging attack techniques.
- Coordinate cross‑functional response to observed and suspected threats, ensuring timely triage, escalation, and containment.
- Partner with SOC, detection engineering, and threat intelligence to identify coverage gaps and improve detection for AI‑assisted attacks and automation misuse.
- Serve as the central coordinator and subject matter expert for AI‑related threats across cybersecurity, technology, risk, and business teams.
- Produce executive‑ and regulator‑ready reporting, metrics, and documentation demonstrating preparedness and response effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of cybersecurity experience with demonstrated leadership in threat management, incident response, or security operations.
- Strong understanding of modern adversary TTPs, including AI‑enabled threats, automation abuse, and emerging attack techniques.
- Proven ability to coordinate complex security responses and communicate clearly with technical teams, executives, and regulators.

Salary Range:
$99,600 - 169,200 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
