How You Will Make an Impact:

We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Corporate Development Associate to join our growing Power team in Austin. This individual will play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives, business development efforts, project evaluation, financial analysis, and executive-level presentations. The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with exceptional communication, technical writing, and presentation skills. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact strategic and commercial initiatives within a rapidly growing business.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support project evaluation, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze market opportunities, industry trends, competitive dynamics, and potential growth strategies.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, board materials, investment memoranda, and strategic reports.
  • Support business development activities, including partnership evaluations, acquisition opportunities, and strategic transactions.
  • Conduct financial, operational, and commercial due diligence on potential opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, engineering, commercial, and executive leadership teams.
  • Assist in developing business cases and investment recommendations for senior management.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate technical and business communications for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred but not required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, transaction advisory, private equity, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment.
  • Recent MBA graduates with prior investment banking, consulting, transaction, or deal-related experience will also be considered.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written communication and technical writing capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into concise, executive-ready presentations.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • High intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Attributes
  • Experience evaluating investments, acquisitions, infrastructure projects, or strategic growth opportunities.
  • Comfort working with large datasets and conducting detailed quantitative analysis.
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Strong business judgment and commercial mindset.
