About the Role

Voyager Technologies is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist. The successful candidate's attributes should include but are not limited to strong experience with FAR/DFARS/Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) terms and conditions risk assessment and negotiations, understanding the implications of international and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracting, working knowledge of Offsets and Industrial Participation, experience in intellectual property issues and USG data rights, strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, subject matter expertise in contracting, and be able to provide contractual and business guidance to the Program Management Leadership
Reporting Structure & Location

This role reports to the Senior Director Contracts and sits within the Contracts department. The position is onsite, based out of El Segundo, CA and may have multi-site responsibility.
What You'll Do

• Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes
• Partner with Finance leadership to ensure financial targets are met by securing contract awards, negotiating contract payment terms, and working closely with the customer to ensure on-time payment
• Develop and Implement contract strategies consistent with Voyager strategic imperatives.
• Partners with business divisions and functional organizations to ensure contracting activities are vetted across multiple stakeholders including Legal, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Controller, and Compliance functions
• Ensure each contract and proposal action is reviewed and approved consistently with the Delegation of Authority and that all documentation is complete per command media/policy.
• Develop, support, and maintain customer relationships to ensure positive and constructive interactions.
• Manage and provide leadership for activities associated with contract management responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Assist in proposal preparation and contract negotiations
• Assessment of terms and conditions to ensure the corporation is protected from unusual risk while sustaining or improving the future financial goals
• Representing and providing recommendations to executive leadership aligned with Voyager strategy
• Coordinate and drive to resolution key business issues with legal, risk management, and corporate contracts
• Contract closeouts and interface with Supply Chain leadership to ensure relevant contracting requirements are communicated and incorporated.

• Must be able to travel between multiple sites, as needed

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years highly dynamic role in a technology, defense, or aerospace/space company
  • Experience with managing Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Experience in the development of proposals, proposal cost structure, performance requirements, delivery schedules, and negotiations
  • Demonstrated ability to shape results in support of objectives, including ability to communicate and influence executive leadership
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with complex customer
  • Detail oriented and data-driven
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).

Preferred

• Advanced degree (MBA, JD or other)
• Experience with aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing

Compensation & Benefits

The good faith base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive compensation. This range may be adjusted in the future.
