Full Job Description
What you'll be doing

You'll be a key part of an innovative, "first to market" technology culture, contributing to CIBC's digital transformation. As a Consultant, Production Application Support, you will join CIBC's AESP Team to provide technical expertise for small to medium, complex projects/initiatives as they relate to the implementation and support of application and/or infrastructure technology in a multi platform environment. The successful candidate for this role may be on call at times, and required to be accessible 24/7.

You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed
  • Analysis and Support- Evaluate service requests to ensure adherence to standards and processes. Coordinate and/or execute implementation plans.
  • Troubleshooting Skills- Identify and resolve small to medium complex production problems. Monitor and analyze supported services to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Technical Expertise- You understand that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.


Who you are
  • You can demonstrate 7 years experience in. Providing production application support and have experience in developing or supporting DataPower Integration gateway technology, XML/XSLT, XALAN, or any other integration technologies. Good to have experience in Java/J2EE, API, managed Secure File transfer, Feedhub, and Batch scheduling, have experience with defining, implementing changes to, and supporting a production application. You have some experience / familiarity with majority of the following technology environments: CaaS, scripting (shell) Oracle Databases, experience with Autosys and Feedhub, Version Control Software, Agile and DevOps concepts, Middleware (JBoss, Weblogic or Websphere), Jenkins, Github. You have strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux RedHat and Unix Solaris operating systems, Basic Network Troubleshooting, Secure File Transfer protocols. It's an asset if you have knowledge of Dynatrace, Grafana, Splunk and Devops tools.
