Full Job Description
What you’ll be doing

Simplii Financial is a modern, customer-first organization, and the Business Analysis team helps keep our squads moving with clarity and rigour. As a Business Analyst, you'll work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to help bring meaningful customer solutions to life. You'll contribute in real time during discovery, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery, providing the business rules, constraints, and operational context that help make ideas buildable. You'll support the squad by translating compliance, regulatory, and operational requirements into clear, actionable guidance, while building a strong understanding of the systems and processes that power our products. In a regulated financial services environment, your work will help identify risks early, surface dependencies, and support thoughtful delivery. As a member of the Business Analysis team, you'll be supported in your craft development and career growth by your Director while contributing day-to-day to your squad's goals and outcomes.

At Simplii Financial, we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Squad contribution - Participate actively in discovery, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery. Contribute business rules, edge case documentation, acceptance criteria, and systems or integration mapping that help the team move forward with clarity and confidence.

  • Business rules and constraints - Build a strong understanding of the regulatory, compliance, and operational constraints that shape what Simplii can deliver. Translate those requirements into clear, practical guidance for your squad and identify risks early.

  • Systems and integration awareness - Develop familiarity with the systems and operational processes that support Simplii's products. Help the squad understand dependencies, limitations, and integration considerations before they affect delivery.

  • Partnership and collaboration - Build and maintain effective working relationships with legal, compliance, and regulatory partners. Bring their requirements into squad conversations in a way that is clear, accurate, and actionable.

  • Outcome-oriented delivery - Focus on team outcomes rather than document volume. Create practical artifacts the squad can use and continuously strengthen your understanding of effective business analysis in an agile, design-centric environment.

Who you are

  • You have relevant experience. You bring 3 to 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field, with demonstrated success supporting product delivery in a cross-functional environment. Experience in financial services, financial technology, or another regulated industry is an asset.

  • You're customer-focused. You understand that the business rules, constraints, and systems logic behind the work ultimately support real client needs. You keep that perspective front and centre and raise concerns when customer experience may be affected.

  • You thrive in the details. You look closely at edge cases, ask what happens when things don't go as expected, and help the squad think beyond the ideal path. You bring rigour while helping the team maintain momentum.

  • You're comfortable with ambiguity. You can work effectively when information is incomplete, ask thoughtful clarifying questions, and help the team move toward clarity without waiting for perfect inputs.

  • You're collaborative and adaptable. You understand your impact is measured by what the team can achieve through your contribution. You work fluidly within an agile environment and adapt your approach to support the needs of the squad.

  • You're a reliable and trusted teammate. You follow through on your commitments, communicate proactively when priorities shift, and contribute as a steady, dependable partner to your squad.

  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
