Full Job Description
Construction Manager with experience supporting large-scale aviation infrastructure, passenger terminal modernization, and complex facility projects. This individual will serve as the owner's representative, managing and coordinating daily construction activities, monitoring contractor performance, and ensuring project compliance with plans, specifications, schedule, and budget requirements within an active airport environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with major capital programs and possess strong knowledge of construction management practices, multi-million dollar project sequencing, and public agency or aviation authority standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor all day-to-day on-site field construction activities to ensure operations follow approved work plans and area shutdown protocols.
• Serve as a primary point of contact and liaison between the client, construction contractors, design teams, and airport stakeholders.
• Attend, coordinate, and facilitate progress meetings, coordination meetings, and stakeholder briefings.
• Review contractor schedules, potential change order claims for merit, submittals, RFIs, and work plans.
• Monitor budget estimates, staffing requirements, and the allocation of manpower and materials to maximize efficiency and meet schedule milestones.
• Ensure all work is performed and inspected according to the latest versions of plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Identify potential risk areas, gaps, and construction bottlenecks, taking proactive preventative actions to keep the project on track.
• Prepare periodic reports summarizing the progress of construction activities for higher-level management and clients.
• Ensure effective implementation of all project policies, including project labor agreements and rigorous safety/quality control standards.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of construction management or resident engineering experience, preferably on airport projects.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or facility projects valued at more than $100 million.
• Strong understanding of various project delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-CMAR, and Design/Build.
• Experience managing construction activities within an active, operating, or high-volume facility environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills.
• Proficiency with Project Management Information Systems (such as PMWeb), Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications or licensure such as PE, PMP, CCM, AAAE, or LEED are a plus.
• Specific project experience emphasizing airport concourse scope, headhouse scope, or site/civil infrastructure.
• Familiarity with public agency construction management procedures and documentation requirements.

Anticipated Salary Range: $173,000.00 - $199,000.00 per year
