  • Maintain commissioning documentation for accuracy and legibility.
  • Contribute to resolving construction-related issues efficiently.

Full Job Description
We are currently seeking aCommissioning Specialistto join ourgrowing Technical Services National team.Under indirect supervision, this position will perform commissioning activities on a variety of systems to validate proper installation. Performs review of basis of design, MEP drawings, submittals, and construction reports. Finalizes the Cx report documentation and site reporting. Finalizes systems manual, O-logs and other Cx documents. Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Verify the system installation and functional performance are installed to thespecification.
  • Verify the controls system operations, including writing FTP's, witnessing PFT's &equipment start-up.
  • Develop project specific commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Maintain, track, and operate test equipment.
  • Maintain complete and legible commissioning documentation to be used in the commissioning report.
  • Contribute to the efficient and effective resolution of deficiencies and constructionrelated issues.
  • Review system as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Understand the design concept and intent by reviewing system constructiondocumentation, including drawings and scheduled equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry:
  • Demonstrates proficiency as a commissioning technician.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Suite skills including project, Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and control systems.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents.
  • Basic understanding of Fire/life safety, plumbing, lighting, and security systems.
  • Proficient in communications skills both verbal and written
  • Experience in the efficient use of building automation systems
  • BA/BS in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience.

The pay range for this position is $33.32 - $47.34 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is non-exempt and will be paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
