Cloud Engineer F/H
We are looking for Cloud Engineers to design, deploy, and operate the InfrastructureasaService (IaaS) layer of the Outscale cloud.

You will work at the intersection of our PlatformasaService (PaaS) and the underlying physical infrastructure, driving automation, expanding services to new regions, and ensuring the platform is secure, resilient, highperforming, and compliant. You will partner with infrastructure development, automation, and operations teams to implement cloud best practices and deliver productionready, compliant cloud solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesAREA WHAT YOU'LL DO

Automation & Operations
• Deploy, manage, maintain, and operate Outscale cloud using bestpractice patterns for scalability, performance, and security.
• Build, implement, and maintain InfrastructureasCode (IaC) pipelines with Terraform, Ansible/SaltStack, Packer, Jenkins, etc.
• Own the full lifecycle of our IaaS environment, from initial provisioning to continuous supervision, placing a strong emphasis on process automation.

Industrialisation of Deployments
• Automate and industrialise deployments, updates, and regional expansions; ensure repeatable, auditable release pipelines.

Innovation & Optimisation
• Propose and implement system improvements that boost performance, resilience, and costefficiency.
• Contribute directly to the technological evolution of the platform.

Performance, Monitoring & KPIs
• Define, implement, and refine critical KPIs (SLI, SLO, SLA).
• Build and maintain observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, ELK) to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Reliability & Resiliency
• Identify and remediate single points of failure and security risks; ensure system resiliency.
• Analyse and address performance and scalability challenges with durable solutions.

Knowledge Sharing & Documentation
• Write clear technical documentation, runbooks, and operational playbooks.
• Conduct knowledgetransfer sessions and internal training to keep the team uptodate.

Level 3 Incident Investigation & OnCall
• Perform deepdive investigations on escalations from clientsupport.
• Participate in oncall rotations and provide timely resolutions.

Collaboration
• Strengthen relationships with internal (development, security, product) and external (vendors, partners) teams to foster a collaborative, innovative environment.

Capacity Planning & RoadMapping
• Assist in capacity planning and roadmap development for future infrastructure growth.

Compliance
• Ensure all cloud engineering practices comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., VA standards).

Minimum Qualifications
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship or valid U.S. work authorization.
  • Additionally, the selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance as a condition of employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in Linux system administration and infrastructure virtualization.
  • Good working knowledge of core AWS infrastructure services with strong scripting/automation skills using Bash and Python
  • Expertlevel proficiency with SaltStack or Ansible (SaltStack preferred).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of networking fundamentals, physical and virtual system & storage infrastructure.
  • Handson experience provisioning, orchestrating, and managing virtual resources.
  • Familiarity with data protection, disasterrecovery strategies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset with an automationfirst approach.

Compensation & Benefits

Dassault Systèmes offers an excellent salary with potential for bonus, commensurate with experience. Benefits include a choice of plans providing comprehensive coverage for medical, dental, vision care for employee & dependents as well as employee life, short & long term disability, tuition reimbursement, immediate 401K enrollment, 401K match (50 cents on the dollar, up to the first 8% of your eligible compensation that you contribute based on match eligibility criteria), flexible time off policy, and 10 paid holidays.

Salary Pay Transparency

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $110800 and $130300, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
