  • Create original graphic assets like icons and visual components for user interfaces.
  • Design user interfaces with a focus on HTML5, CSS/Sass, JavaScript, and Angular frameworks.
  • Collaborate with teams to present design drafts and recommendations to stakeholders.

Full Job Description
The work:
  • As the UI/UX Designer, you will be creating intuitive, accessible, and high-performing digital experiences that support enterprise and mission-critical applications.
  • Lead user research, design workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and design systems while collaborating closely with product owners, developers, and stakeholders in Agile environments.
  • Provide technical mentorship, drives UX process improvements, promotes design standardization, and ensures compliance with accessibility and security requirements.

Here's what you need:
  • Bachelors required along with 8 years' experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and design systems.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design and enterprise application experience.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Human-Centered Design (HCD), usability testing, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments.
  • Portfolio of work samples.
  • Onsite work location: Washington, DC (50% on site).
  • Active Top Secret Clearance.

Bonus points if you have:
  • Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, or related field.
  • Experience with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) or other enterprise design systems.
  • Knowledge of Section 508, WCAG accessibility standards, and inclusive design principles.
  • Experience supporting federal, defense, intelligence, or highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Certifications in UX, accessibility, Human-Centered Design, or related disciplines.
  • Experience utilizing AI throughout the design process and AI code-generation tools to rapidly prototype, build, and deploy production-ready designs.

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
