Full Job Description
CTI is seeking a Civil Engineer who is experienced in Construction related activities with a focus in Quality Control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of engineering designs and technical solutions for solid waste, water resources and federal and state projects, ensuring alignment with appropriate regulatory standards. Expertise in water resource engineering, solid waste permitting and design and Department of Energy (DoE) and Department of Defense (DoD) requirements preferred.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring all milestones are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Ensure that designs are optimized for performance, cost, and sustainability. Use advanced engineering techniques to improve systems and processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress and any potential challenges.
  • Ensure all projects meet necessary compliance and regulatory standards, including DOE, DoD, and other relevant industry-specific guidelines.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support to foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that project goals are achieved without compromise to quality or timelines.
  • Senior Engineer - Works independently to perform engineering analyses, detailed design, codes/standards incorporation, checking at all levels, leads technical aspects at all levels of project teams, serves as mentor.

Education, Experience and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, environmental or water resources) (required); Master's degree (preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with a focus on managing complex technical projects in solid waste and/or Department of Energy or Department of Defense sectors.
  • Proficient in engineering design software including HydroCad, HEC-RAS and AutoCad Civil 3D and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (required). Indiana license preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering large-scale engineering projects within a regulated environment (required).
  • Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
