Description

About the role:

As a member of the Ampere Circuit Team, you will contribute to the design of high-performance memory arrays-from initial concept through hardware validation. You will work on transistor-level design for SRAM arrays/caches, register files, and/or custom standard cells. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams including logic, DFT, and PD to translate system requirements into robust, manufacturable designs.

What you'll achieve:

  • Develop schematic and layout designs for advanced memory arrays
  • Conduct bitcell analysis to ensure robust performance
  • Analyze and balance area, power, and performance trade-offs in array design
  • Perform EMIR analysis to assess signal integrity and power grid robustness
  • Execute equivalence checking between SPICE and behavioral models
  • Carry out circuit robustness checks and timing model generation/verification
  • Hardware validation efforts to bring designs from simulation to silicon

About you:

  • Good understanding of VLSI circuits, design methodology, and device/electrical fundamentals
  • Experience using EDA tool flows for simulation, verification, and characterization
  • Familiarity with design-for-test (DFT) concepts and their impact on circuit design
  • Ability to work independently on defined deliverables while also collaborating effectively with other teams
  • Ability to program in Python, Perl, or TCL
  • Electrical or Computer Engineering - Bachelor's degree & 5 years of related experience; or MS degree & 3 years; or PhD & no prior experience
