The Opportunity

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an experienced Central Sales Strategy Manager - Essentials to join our Central Sales Team. In this role, you will lead sales strategy and proactive prospecting efforts across a portfolio of Essentials hotels, including Hyatt Place and Hyatt House. Working closely with hotel sales teams and the broader Commercial Services organization, you will identify new business opportunities, strengthen sales pipelines, and develop strategies that support portfolio-wide revenue goals. The Role

The Central Sales Strategy Manager - Essentials role is ideal for someone who has demonstrated strong performance and a thorough understanding of Essentials hotels, including Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, Group and Transient sales, Hyatt systems, and the hotel and business travel industry. This position is responsible for leading sales strategy across a portfolio of Essentials hotels, with a primary focus on proactive Group and Negotiated account prospecting. The Manager will evaluate market dynamics, hotel performance, business mix, and revenue opportunities to establish strategic priorities, identify new business opportunities, generate qualified leads, and drive outbound sales activity that supports each hotel's financial goals.

In partnership with hotel sales teams and commercial leaders, the Manager will guide account segmentation, target-market development, prospecting strategy, and business development efforts. Using Envision, TravelClick, and other sales tools, this role will identify high-potential accounts, prioritize prospecting activity, develop action plans, monitor performance, and adjust strategies based on results. The Manager will provide leadership and direction to ensure consistent execution of outbound sales initiatives, strengthen each hotel's sales pipeline, and drive sustainable revenue growth across the portfolio.

Qualifications:
Experience Required:
  • Experience developing and executing sales strategies across multiple hotels or a portfolio of properties, including Hyatt Place and Hyatt House.
  • Proven ability to translate market intelligence, hotel performance, and revenue goals into actionable sales plans and prospecting priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to track and evaluate sales performance using KPIs such as production, conversion, pace, pipeline activity, and revenue contribution.
  • Experience presenting strategic recommendations, performance insights, and business updates to hotel leadership and commercial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in Group and/or Business Transient (Negotiated) sales within the hospitality industry.
  • Experience identifying, prospecting, and developing new business opportunities through outbound sales efforts.
  • Strong understanding of Select Service hotel operations, sales processes, and commercial objectives.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, third-party partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience utilizing CRM and sales platforms, including Envision, TravelClick, or similar tools, to manage prospecting activity and sales pipelines.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, account production, and business opportunities to prioritize prospecting efforts.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple hotels, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience collaborating across sales, revenue management, and marketing teams to support commercial goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous Hyatt Selling experience

The salary range for this position is $90,000 -$100,000 . This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, monthly or quarterly incentives, etc.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
