Full Job Description
Eaton's Data Center division is currently seeking a Buyer to join our team. This position is hybrid with preference for this person to be in Raleigh NC or Woodridge, IL. Will consider remote within the US.

As a Buyer, you will be an integral member of Supply Chain Team. You will be responsible for procuring materials and components to support production and customer demand, ensuring continuity of supply, optimal inventory levels, supplier performance, and cost competitiveness for a specified group of products.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000 - $105,000 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Monitor material requirements and supplier commitments to ensure on-time delivery and continuity of supply.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality and Strategic Sourcing teams to manage supplier performance, lead times, pricing, and contract compliance.
  • Actively participate in the SIOP process by reviewing demand changes, evaluating supply constraints, and supporting inventory and service-level targets.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Production Planning, Engineering, and Quality teams to align material availability with factory and customer requirements.
  • Identify and resolve material shortages, delivery issues, and supplier risks through proactive communication and problem-solving.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by coordinating sourcing, supplier readiness, and phase-in/phase-out of materials.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier master data within the ERP system.
  • Generate and analyze weekly and monthly reports related to supplier performance, inventory levels, and material shortages.

You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management
  • ERP Experience, SAP and Kinaxis
  • CPIM or other supply chain certification
  • Experience in a supply chain buying, planning, or scheduling role
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts
