Purpose

As a Business Systems Analyst on the IDH team, you will support the implementation and ongoing operations of a flagship strategic data platform. You will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical delivery team, ensuring that investment data requirements are accurately captured, clearly documented, and effectively implemented within the Opus EDM platform.

What You'll Do
• Gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for Opus EDM configuration, data sourcing workflows, and integration designs
• Analyze data quality issues across securities reference data, pricing, corporate actions, and related investment data domains; work with technical teams to identify root causes and resolution paths
• Support UAT and system testing activities, including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking and resolution
• Collaborate with data vendors and downstream application teams (Charles River, SimCorp, Eagle, BarraOne) to validate data flows and ensure alignment with business expectations
• Maintain business process documentation, data dictionaries, workflow specifications, and operational runbooks
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to agile delivery practices across the IDH program
• Support data governance activities including the documentation of data lineage, ownership, and quality rules

What You'll Bring
• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in financial services or investment management
• Hands-on experience with Markit EDM / S&P Global EDM / Opus EDM - including workflow configuration, data mapping, exception management, or data sourcing
• Familiarity with investment data domains: securities reference data, pricing, corporate actions, benchmarks, and/or fund data
• Strong SQL proficiency for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation
• Experience working with financial data vendors such as Bloomberg, ICE, Refinitiv, or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
• Experience working within agile/scrum delivery frameworks
Nice to Have
• Direct integration experience with Charles River Development (CRD), SimCorp Dimension, Eagle PACE, or BarraOne
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tooling (Collibra, Alation, or similar)
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as GCP (BigQuery), Azure Synapse, or Databricks
• Previous experience at a large Canadian financial institution or asset manager
