Full Job Description
The Role

Partiful has launched the ability to buy and sell tickets within the platform, and we're hiring our first dedicated Business Development hire to own the mid-market segment and bring the best ticketed events across the world onto Partiful.

In this role, you'll source, close, and launch new ticketing partners on Partiful. Critically, you'll be solely focused on events that people actually want to go to - tasteful, culturally relevant events, where hosts and venues are focused on building loyal community. For example, music collectives, supper clubs, cultural institutions, festivals, independent venues and exclusive experiences.

You'll work directly with our Business Operations team and partner closely with support, marketing, and product.

If you love live events and want to help shape the next chapter of how people throw them, this is the role.

What You'll Do
  • Source, qualify, and close premium hosts in your first year, targeting premium accounts
  • Build and manage a pipeline of inbound and outbound against our ICP
  • Partner with our support team to onboard new hosts through their first ticketed events
  • Work with marketing to develop assets to help scale the BD process
  • Maintain an extremely high bar for quality while driving platform Gross Ticket Value
  • Curate our events supply with intention and uphold quality standards
  • Develop a best in class, scalable business development engine leveraging applicable tech

What You'll Bring 🫡
  • 2-5 years in BD, partnerships, or sales, ideally within events, hospitality, or live entertainment with an established network
  • Strong full-cycle sales skills with a track record of hitting ambitious sales goals. Comfortable running a 30+ touch/day cadence and closing on cycles under two weeks
  • You have your finger on the pulse of what's happening - across scenes, neighborhoods, and subcultures. You have an extensive network of event hosts
  • A bias towards execution and efficiency, leveraging AI new technology and optimizing process - you're known for getting sh*t done and make sure balls don't get dropped
  • Sharp written and verbal communication
  • Adaptability and judgment to enforce and uphold brand
  • No task is too small for you to own - you're always happy to hop on a call, take a meeting, send cold emails, or anything else it takes to win over a host

Bonus Points
  • Selling ticketing, event tech, or hospitality SaaS
  • Early stage start up experience

What we offer:
  • 401(k) with up to 6% matching
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for you and all your dependents (FSAs and HSA plans available)
  • Free OneMedical membership, telehealth, and virtual mental health services
  • Commuter benefits & contributions towards ClassPass and Citibike memberships
  • Unlimited vacation (minimum 3 weeks required)
  • Quarterly stipend to plan your own party and dogfood the product
  • Semi-annual team offsites
  • Get invited to exclusive parties

In your application, please include a note on what's got you excited about Partiful! The compensation range for this role is $100,000-$115,000 OTE with the opportunity for performance-based bonuses. This role is based in NYC.
