Business Development Manager The Business Development Manager will focus on driving profitable growth by generating new business, expanding Viant's Advanced Plastics (APS) division, and supporting strategic account business growth. This role will lead technically focused sales efforts for APS capabilities while cross-selling Viant's broader portfolio of plastics, metals, and complex assemblies to emerging and established medical device OEMs. This position requires a strong focus on achieving new business targets, building customer relationships, retaining and growing current business revenues, and identifying incremental opportunities within strategic accounts. The Business Development Manager will develop and execute territory and account growth strategies while working closely with cross-functional teams to secure new business, strengthen customer relationships, and expand Viant's position within targeted markets. This role is ideal for a growth-minded, self-starter with an engineering background who is interested in partnering with technical and business leaders to bring innovative, high-quality products to market. The successful candidate will combine technical credibility, strategic account management, and disciplined business development to create sustainable growth for the APS division. Key Responsibilities: 37 Generate New Business: Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for the APS division, 37 including managing RFQ processes, developing tailored technical proposals, and negotiating agreements to achieve 37 new business targets. 37 Targeted Prospecting: Develop and execute a comprehensive prospecting strategy focused on priority markets and 37 customers for APS, ensuring continuous pipeline growth and market penetration. 37 Technical Sales: Translate customer requirements, engineering specifications, and application needs into compelling 37 APS solutions in partnership with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and other technical teams. 37 Strategic Account Business Management and Growth: Develop and execute strategic account plans that protect 37 existing business, expand revenue, deepen relationships, and identify new programs, applications, and cross-selling 37 opportunities. 37 Customer Relationship Management: Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers at 37 medical device OEMs. Call points may include R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and business leadership. 37 Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed assigned new business and revenue targets by applying effective sales strategies, 37 disciplined pipeline management, and strong execution. 37 Market and Industry Expertise: Stay informed about customer needs, market trends, technological advancements, and 37 the competitive landscape relevant to advanced plastics and medical device manufacturing. 37 Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams in Commercial, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and 37 Finance to evaluate opportunities, develop solutions, and ensure successful execution and customer satisfaction. 37 Pricing and Proposals: Manage pricing and proposal activities, including new business quotes, existing business 37 renewals, and price changes, while supporting competitive positioning and effective negotiations. 37 Team Collaboration: Partner with Account Managers and other commercial stakeholders to coordinate strategic 37 account priorities, advance growth strategies, and maintain alignment on business development goals. 37 Environmental Working Conditions: 37 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 37 Field-based with home office flexibility. 37 25%-75% travel, depending on territory and account requirements.
