Compensation: We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is
$42-$48 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

About the role:As a Toolmaker, you will work on new tool builds, repairs, modifications, and spare components, utilizing cutting-edge micro tooling technologies and machining techniques to deliver high-performance, tight-tolerance tooling solutions. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in micro molding, complex medical device tooling, and lights-out manufacturing, while working alongside a highly skilled team focused on innovation, precision, and continuous improvement. Job Rsponsibilities:- Build, repair, modify, and maintain Class 101-105 molds, including modular, multi-cavity, and hot runner tooling.
- Operate Makino EDAF3 Sinker EDM equipment to manufacture precision mold components.
- Design and manufacture electrodes for EDM operations.
- Perform Wire EDM (GF) machining to precise specifications.
- Execute new tool builds while consistently achieving tolerances up to .0002".
- Apply expertise in hardened tooling, hot runner systems, and multi-cavity mold construction.
- Review tool designs and provide feedback to improve manufacturability and performance.
- Program, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC milling equipment.
- Track and communicate workload progress to support project timelines.
- Utilize and maintain personal tooling required for precision moldmaking.
- Represent the company with a high level of professionalism, precision, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate ownership, diligence, and integrity in delivering high-quality work.
- Contribute to team success by prioritizing collective results and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Toolmakers and cross-functional teams to deliver tooling solutions.
- Mentor, train, and support apprentices and team members to build technical capability.
- Maintain accurate design control records and organized digital documentation.
- Communicate project status, technical issues, and improvement opportunities effectively.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, QMS, and applicable quality standards.
- Follow established safety procedures and best practices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Care for company equipment and tooling assets to maximize reliability and performance.
- Work extended hours as needed to meet project and customer requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements: Education- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyman Toolmaker certification or equivalent experience.
Experience- 8+ years of moldmaking experience, including Class 101-105 tooling, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of Sinker EDM experience, including electrode design.
- 3+ years of Wire EDM (WEDM) experience.
- Experience with CNC programming, setup, and operation.
Knowledge & Skills- Strong knowledge of mold tolerancing, print reading, and precision inspection methods.
- Strong troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude, and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to use precision measurement tools and work safely around machining equipment.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with micro molding or micro tooling.
- Experience with hot runner, multi-cavity, and hardened tooling.
- Experience with reverse engineering and mold troubleshooting.
- Experience with molds in the 20-200 ton press range.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
