A Day in the Life

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Onterris Treatment Technologies, a global leader in the water technology solutions market. You will report to the VP of Global Business Development and partner with our business leaders and team members to develop client relationships and solutions within North America. This role can work remotely or in any of our US-based office locations.

As a key leader on our team, you will focus on client relationships and business development activities primarily within the water treatment market. You will report to the VP of Global Business Development and collaborate with our operations team to provide value to our customers. The compensation range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location in addition to commission eligibility.

To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
  • Prospecting and identify strategic accounts and opportunities within your territory.
  • Creating and/or leading market/territory-specific marketing campaigns in conjunction with marketing and product management departments.
  • Qualifying leads via phone, email, and research.
  • Travel (approximately 30-40%) to represent Onterris at conferences, trade shows, industry events and face-to-face calls with prospects across the US, either individually or as part of a larger team.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for Onterris customers, building strong relationships and ensuring a high-quality client experience.
  • Developing client-focused solutions by connecting customer needs with the extensive technical expertise, resources, and subject matter experts across the Onterris network.
  • Managing the funnel from initial client contact through purchase order finalization.
  • Cultivating existing relationships and looking to develop strategies to grow key relationships
  • Escalating client questions and concerns to management to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintaining our CRM (Salesforce) with all leads, opportunities, prospects, customers, activities, etc. to track metrics, share analytics and insights with leaders to drive activity and support the overall health of the business.
  • Preparing monthly reports highlighting sales, quote activity, pipeline forecast, salient client commentary, and market conditions (identify opportunities and risks).
  • Supporting the development of strategies that improve the quality and depth of market and competitor intelligence to influence and enhance win probability.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support team goals and business priorities.
