The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for new client acquisition in the Quebec market from prospecting and qualification through to responding to RFPs, negotiating, and closing the deal. Once the contract is signed, you will lead the initial program set-up with the client before handing off the account. This is a hunter-focused role and you will represent DCM at industry events, take the stage, and act as an ambassador for our brand across the market.

This is a hybrid role, working a minimum of 2 days in our Montreal office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and actively prospect new potential clients in the Quebec market, through outbound calls, emails, social media (LinkedIn), and other channels
  • Own the full sales cycle for new client acquisition from prospecting through to closing
  • Respond to RFPs and prepare proposals, pricing, and solutions aligned with client objectives and budget
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals, while meeting or exceeding assigned revenue targets
  • Lead the initial program set-up with new clients and ensure a smooth, complete hand-off to Client Services team for ongoing relationship management
  • Build new relationships through a proactive approach, sustained networking, and participation in industry events
  • Understand and effectively communicate the value proposition of our products/services to prospective clients
  • Maintain the CRM with prospecting history, notes, opportunity status, and pipeline documentation
  • Provide the marketing and product teams with feedback on Quebec market trends and competitive intelligence
  • Work to meet and exceed sales targets (new clients, revenue, margin) and contribute to the organization's growth and revenue objectives

Skills & Experiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, paired with 5+ years of B2B sales experience and a strong track record in new client acquisition
  • Experienced in business development and consultative selling, ideally within the Martech, software solutions, or print industry, with previous experience selling in the Quebec healthcare market an asset
  • Established professional network within the Quebec business community, with a strong personal brand that lends credibility and opens doors with prospective clients
  • High level of comfort managing a full sales cycle, from prospecting through close, including responding to RFPs
  • Excellent negotiation and contract closing skills
  • Tenacious and resilient attitude - comfortable with high-volume activity and rejection, with intrinsic motivation to exceed targets
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build relationships with professionals at all levels of organization
  • Ability to work autonomously while being highly collaborative in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Proficient with using CRM systems (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Able and willing to travel occasionally for industry events and client meetings
  • Must be fully bilingual in French and English, with strong proficiency across all aspects of communication

What we offer
  • Comprehensive healthcare, dental, and vision coverage for you and family
  • Company-matched pension program
  • Tuition reimbursement to invest in your growth and career development
  • Collaborative and supportive work environment where your ideas are valued and your impact is visible

If you don't meet every requirement listed above, we still encourage you to apply. We're interested in the diverse experience, potential, and perspective you can bring to the team.
