Position: General Manager

Location: Brampton, ON (Onsite)

The Role

As a General Manager, you will lead the strategic direction and operational performance of our Brampton plant, our HQ location of DCM. You will be accountable for ensuring that all functional areas (production, client services, quality, logistics, and finance) operate cohesively to meet customer expectations, financial targets, and corporate objectives. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, foster a strong culture of accountability and safety, and represent the site both internally and with external stakeholders.

This is an onsite role working Monday to Friday at our Brampton site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own full operational performance for the Brampton plant - production, scheduling, quality, logistics, and all client deliverables
  • Lead and develop a team of department heads and supervisors, building bench strength through coaching and succession planning
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by serving as the primary escalation point for service concerns, supporting commercial sales initiatives and ensuring the consistent delivery of products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Drive local strategy, continuous improvement, and technology integration to keep the site efficient and competitive
  • Safeguard product quality, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance across the site
  • Manage the site's budget and financial performance, partnering with Finance on cost control and capital planning

Skills & Experiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role leading teams within the manufacturing industry, preferably in print production and distribution (labels, forms, commercial print & direct mail) paired with a strong understanding of custom manufacturing
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to use numbers to guide budgeting and cost decisions
  • Proven track record of successful strategic planning and operational management, including managing service level agreements, goals, and values
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve operational challenges; knowledge of quality control processes and standards, with familiarity with ISO considered an asset
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid computer skills across Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel required; knowledge of cost management applications and ERP systems (MS D365 an asset)
  • Resilient and courageous - able to stand behind difficult decisions and stay effective through sustained pressure
