As a member of our Business Architecture team at IGM, you will join a collaborative group that partners with business and technology leaders to shape practical paths from strategy to execution. The team helps leaders understand current challenges, define future-state capabilities and operating models, and create roadmaps that support meaningful business change across Distribution, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Corporate Operations, Technology, and Enterprise Functions.

We are seeking a Business Architect to support initiatives across business portfolios, platforms, and enterprise priorities. You will partner closely with business leaders, technology teams, delivery teams, and subject matter experts to define future-state business capabilities, operating models, business processes, and transformation roadmaps that enable strategic outcomes and improve organizational effectiveness.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in complex environments, facilitating conversations across diverse stakeholder groups, navigating ambiguity, and translating business needs into actionable architecture deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business strategy and priorities into capabilities, operating models, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Partner with leaders to identify opportunities, define target-state outcomes, and support investment decisions.
  • Assess business impacts, capability gaps, risks, and dependencies across strategic initiatives.
  • Guide the evolution of business capabilities by identifying opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve business outcomes and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide business architecture leadership to ensure initiatives deliver measurable business value and alignment with enterprise objectives.
  • Advance business architecture practices, standards, and reusable enterprise knowledge assets.


Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in Business Architecture, Business Transformation, Strategic Planning, Operating Model Design, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing business capabilities, operating models, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale transformation initiatives in complex organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, strategic planning, and executive communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex business challenges and translate strategy into measurable outcomes.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Business Architecture certification such as CBA, BAIP, TOGAF, or equivalent is considered an asset.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $118,500 - 152,500, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
