Role OverviewThe Business Analyst - Advanced will support application migration and modernization initiatives by acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The role focuses on requirements gathering, process analysis, SDLC support, testing coordination, and ensuring migration readiness across enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities - Elicit, analyze, and document business rules, processes, and functional requirements.
- Serve as liaison between business users, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Support application migration and modernization initiatives.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather configuration artifacts and system requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation throughout the SDLC.
- Assist with testing strategy, test execution, and user readiness activities.
- Support training efforts before, during, and after implementation.
- Analyze current and future state business processes to identify gaps and efficiencies.
- Review and validate migration-related tickets, configurations, and system changes.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders on enhancement requests.
- Provide support across multiple application projects as needed.
Required Skills - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
(Relevant experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis) - 5+ years of experience working on Government IT projects as a Business Analyst or related role
- 5+ years of experience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and processes
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- 1+ year of experience working with SQL databases
Preferred Skills - IIBA certifications such as CBAP or CCBA
- PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) certification
- 1+ year of experience using JIRA
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
