Coordinate assigned aspects of an Operations Brand or Program to align it with AbbVie's business goals and strategic imperatives. Assist the Brand Director or Brand Manager with the Supply Chain interface and central point of contact for stakeholders from Commercial, R&D, S&T, Legal, Tax, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Manufacturing and TPMs. Provide global Brand / Product analysis, strategy, oversight, LRP / Plan demand, and inventory management. Assure contract compliance/accountability with PRMs. Contribute to the development and execution of effective product strategies and Brand plans for product launches, site transfers, security of supply, cost improvements, risk, and lifecycle management. Help manage long range plans and supply strategies and capacity with TPMs. Manage cross functional programs involving multiple levels of personnel in plants, TPMs, and functional organizations.

This is a role in Operations, not in Commercial or Marketing.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive assigned Operations Brand(s) and Operations teams independently to ensure timely decisions that can have a significant impact on Brand sales, assurance of supply and operational performance.
    • Strategize with cross-functional partners as the leader of the Brand Team to ensure patient supply. Analyze and model supply across the various notes and guide partners to make key decisions.
    • Communicate and escalate issues that threaten assurance of supply. Work with AbbVie cross-functional teams and TPMs to identify and develop mitigations plans. Present plans to leadership and execute accordingly.
    • Create a viable Brand plan, financial plan, LRP, risk management and Lifecycle strategy.
    • Justify and ensure alignment with AbbVie's business goals and strategic imperatives. Manage program activities to optimize the operational performance and meet strategic business needs while ensuring that assurance of supply is achieved.
    • Manage lifecycle transitions that can have a significant impact on Brands sales and network supply chain, including launches, loss of exclusivity (LOE), discontinuation, and more.


  • Be the primary interface with Commercial to develop and gain agreement on Brand / Product forecasts. Remain current on internal and external factors impacting assigned Brand(s). Build the communication bridge between Commercial and Operations; provide perspective and feedback between the two organizations.


  • Assist the Brand Director with the supply chain interface to provide a central point of contact for stakeholders from Commercial, R&D, S&T, Legal, Tax, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Manufacturing and TPMs.


  • Take on department initiatives in order to support 2030 Strategy, AI initiatives, and Brand Management Transformation.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (same as below):
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or Science plus business and product management in Life Science; MBA or higher education desired but not required
  • 5 or more years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Management, Product Development, and / or Financial Management.
  • Proven experience in managing effective teams and fostering collaboration across organizational boundaries.
  • A demonstrated success as a collaborative team player
  • Proven excellent presentation, oral, written and communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle conflicting priorities to deliver results
  • Proven capability to manage, implement and influence large change management programs
  • Knowledge of the Commercial and Process understanding, and experience of the Product / Brand they manage is a benefit
  • Possess understanding of core business processes
  • Proven ability to interface effectively in worldwide cultural settings and with executive level management

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years' experience in Manufacturing Operations
  • Strong pharmaceutical industry background
