What's new with AptarThe Boost Tooling Engineer is the plant expert on mold design, part design, and injection molding tooling systems. This role is responsible for the maintenance, performance, design, and implementation of new and existing molds at the Lincolnton site. Provides technical leadership and support across manufacturing, tooling, and new product development to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation.
This is how your journey begins:Provide technical assistance in tool repair, engineering changes, and process issues related to tooling design.
Lead root cause analysis of tooling-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Design, develop, and implement new tooling solutions to support product development and manufacturing efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement through tooling innovation, cost reduction, and performance optimization.
Lead procurement activities for new and refurbished molds including vendor selection and development.
Manage tooling projects to ensure product quality, timeline adherence, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with New Product Development teams to influence mold design from a manufacturability and maintenance perspective.
Support toolroom activities and oversee implementation of tooling modifications and upgrades.
Evaluate production issues and coordinate with process, maintenance, and automation teams for short- and long-term solutions.
Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Travel as required (up to 5%).

What will you bring in the journey:BS Degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in injection mold design and manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and tooling systems.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with statistical analysis and process capability.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of OSHA and FDA regulations.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Design of Experiments preferred.
