Automotive Service Advisor

Location: Oakes GMC | Kansas City, MO
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday with Rotating Saturday Schedule
Compensation: $60,000-$120,000+ Annually

About the Role

The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, helping ensure every guest receives a professional, transparent, and exceptional service experience. This role is responsible for managing repair orders, communicating vehicle needs, coordinating with technicians, and building long-term customer relationships while supporting departmental growth and profitability.

What You'll Do
Customer Experience & Communication
  • Greet customers and assist with service needs in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain clear communication throughout the repair process
  • Review completed repairs and services with customers before vehicle delivery
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships
Repair Order Management
  • Schedule service appointments and create repair orders
  • Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle needs
  • Prepare service estimates, quotes, and invoices
  • Obtain customer authorization for recommended repairs and maintenance
Team Coordination
  • Work closely with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair recommendations
  • Coordinate with the parts department to support efficient repairs
  • Monitor repair progress and help ensure promised completion times are met
Sales & Department Performance
  • Identify maintenance and repair opportunities that benefit the customer
  • Promote recommended services, parts, and accessories when appropriate
  • Support departmental goals related to customer satisfaction and revenue growth
