Job Description

Role Profile:

Lazard Asset Management is seeking an AUM Reporting Analyst professional in New York. This role owns the accuracy, integrity and presentation of firm-wide Assets Under Management (AUM) data and translates that data into analysis that informs decisions made by senior management, Distribution, Product and the broader business.

You'll bring strong business acumen, a database-driven mindset and sharp analytical judgment to a role with direct visibility to senior management and C-suite stakeholders.

We'll trust you to:
  • Validate and reconcile AUM and flow data across strategies, vehicles and regions for internal and external reporting.
  • Build and maintain recurring and ad hoc analytics - dashboards, trend analysis, and management information - covering flows, revenue and business performance by strategy, channel and geography.
  • Partner across Operations and Technology to ensure AUM data is consistent, accurate and fit for purpose across systems.
  • Leverage AI to streamline processes, automate repetitive tasks, and improve accuracy in reporting.
  • Present findings and analysis directly to Finance leadership and to the Head of AUM Reporting, translating complex, data-rich material into clear, decision-ready insight.
  • Look to continuously improve the firm's AUM data infrastructure, driving automation to reduce manual reconciliation and strengthen controls.
  • Support board materials, earnings packs and regulatory submissions with accurate, well-documented AUM figures.
  • Identify trends, outliers and opportunities within AUM and flow data that inform business strategy and competitive positioning.
  • Work quickly and accurately with a systematic approach, maintaining strong data governance and control standards throughout.

You'll need to have:
  • At least 3 years of experience in business analytics, data/reporting, or a related quantitative role, ideally within financial services or asset management.
  • Advanced SQL skills, with hands-on experience querying and manipulating large, complex datasets.
  • Proficiency with BI/visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, along with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong business and analytical acumen - the ability to translate raw data into a clear, compelling narrative.
  • Confidence and polish presenting to senior management and C-suite stakeholders.
  • A database-oriented, detail-driven approach to reporting, reconciliation and process improvement.
  • A bachelor's degree in a business, finance, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Python or other automation/scripting tools is a plus.
