Job DescriptionAs an Associate Software Engineer within PNC's Technology organization, you will support the delivery of high-quality software solutions through test automation, validation, and continuous improvement practices. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with a strong foundation in Agile methodologies and a passion for ensuring application quality through modern testing tools.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, execute, and maintain test cases and test scripts for web-based applications
- Build and enhance UI test automation frameworks using Playwright
- Utilize Jira Xray for test management, defect tracking, and reporting
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate business and technical requirements
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Support regression, integration, and functional testing efforts
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation coverage
- Ensure alignment with PNC's SDLC and quality engineering standards
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with Jira Xray for test management
- Familiarity with working in an Agile development environment
- Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Experience building or executing UI tests using Playwright
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle concepts
Nice-to-Have Qualifications- Exposure to or experience working with Salesforce platforms
- Experience writing, executing, and documenting test cases
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team

Pay TransparencyBase Salary: $63,750.00 - $116,875.00
Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education.
