Scope of the role:The Associate Product Line Manager (APLM) supports the strategic management, growth, and profitability of Corning Life Sciences' Liquid Handling portfolio, while serving as the primary business owner for the Containers product portfolio. This role provides broad exposure to product management disciplines including portfolio strategy, product lifecycle management, pricing, forecasting, customer engagement, commercial support, new product development, and cross-functional leadership.
Key Responsibilities:Containers Portfolio Ownership:Serve as the Product Management lead for the Containers product portfolio by
- Managing day-to-day portfolio activities and business performance.
- Monitoring revenue, volume, margin, and market trends.
- Supporting annual operating plan, forecasting, and demand review activities.
- Identifying opportunities for growth, portfolio optimization, and product rationalization.
- Leading product lifecycle management activities including launches, modifications, transitions, and obsolescence projects.
- Developing business recommendations and presenting findings to leadership.
Liquid Handling Portfolio SupportSupport Product Line Managers across the Liquid Handing portfolio through:
- Market and competitive analysis.
- Product performance reporting and business reviews.
- Pricing analysis and commercial approval support.
- Customer, distributor, and OEM business review preparation.
- Sales enablement materials and commercial support.
- Voice of Customer activities and customer needs assessment.
- New product development and product launch support.
Strategic Analysis & Business Planning:- Analyze sales, margin, pricing, and market data to identify business opportunities.
- Conduct competitive intelligence and market assessments.
- Support long-range portfolio planning and growth initiatives.
- Develop business cases supporting capital investments, product launches, product changes, and strategic decisions.
Product Lifecycle Management:- Participate in New Product Request (NPR) and stage-gate processes.
- Coordinate cross-functional launch, modification, and transition activities.
- Support SKU management, product updates, and portfolio health initiatives.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams to execute portfolio initiatives.
Customer & Commercial Engagement:- Support customer meetings, distributor reviews, trade shows, and Voice of Customer programs.
- Collaborate with regional commercial teams to identify growth opportunities.
- Assist in addressing customer concerns and portfolio-related business issues.
- Translate customer and commercial feedback into actionable product management recommendations.
Cross-Functional Leadership:- Lead assigned projects through influence and collaboration.
- Coordinate activities across Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Regulatory partners.
- Track project deliverables, risks, timelines, and action items.
- Communicate recommendations and project updates to senior leadership.
Required Education:- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field required.
Required Experience:- 2-5 years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or related business functions.
- Experience in Life Sciences, Diagnostics, Laboratory Consumables, Automation, or related markets preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.
- Must be open to travel up to 25% domestic and international
This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $81,151.00 - $111,583.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
