Associate Attorney to join our dynamic
Toxic Tort (asbestos) defense team in Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys looking to gain
hands-on experience, grow under the mentorship of experienced trial lawyers, and contribute meaningfully to high-profile, complex litigation.
What We're Looking For:- Licensed in Illinois (Active and in good standing). Admission in surrounding states (MO or IN) is a plus.
- 1-5 years of experience in civil defense litigation, with a focus on:
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Taking and defending depositions
- Conducting legal research and case analysis
- Communicating with clients and/or insurance carriers
- Strong writing and advocacy skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Experience with mediations/arbitrations is a plus but not required
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a robust caseload with a focus on toxic tort (asbestos) defense
- Handle cases from inception through resolution or trial in collaboration with partners
- Participate in depositions, court appearances, and more
- Contribute to strategy discussions and case planning
- Be part of a national network of trial-tested attorneys committed to excellence
Compensation & Benefits:- Base Salary: $95,000 - $140,000 (commensurate with experience)
