Key ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day responsibilities of this position:This position is within the Division of Integrated Healthcare, Office of Managed Healthcare and reports to the Office Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in planning, developing, and coordinating services and programs with other offices, division and external agencies. They will also be responsible for providing leadership and management in program performance management, contracts, and development and implementation of standard processes. Also act for, or represent, the Office Director as assigned in matters pertaining to operations.
- Provides assistance to the Director in overseeing staff, policy, and operations of office functions
- Makes recommendations regarding the oversight of programs and teams
- Directly supervises multiple teams within the office, issuing guidance, and providing support
- Collects, prepares, and presents data for division leadership to aid in decision making or as part of state or federal reporting

- This position is currently a hybrid of two (2) in-office and three (3) remote work days. Please note, a position's eligibility for remote work is established by agency management and is subject to change at their discretion, at any time, and for any reason.
- Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
QualificationsMinimum or "day-one" qualifications:- Ability to successfully manage a team of professional staff
- Analyze issues, prepare solutions, and communicate plans effectively
- Be able to present information in group settings/speak in front of larger groups
Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications: - Experience with Medicaid managed care plans is preferable
- Knowledge of, and work experience with Medicaid and CHIP programs is preferrable
