The Role

As Assistant Manager, Middle Office, you will support the execution of trade lifecycle activities, trade control, and client service functions across GBM business lines. You will deliver accurate and timely operational support while contributing to control frameworks, process improvements, and daily operational oversight.

  • Execute trade lifecycle management activities, including trade capture, validation, settlement support, and post-trade control
  • Perform trade control functions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of breaks or discrepancies
  • Support client service activities by responding to inquiries and resolving trade-related issues
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve operational issues with minimal escalation
  • Monitor daily workflows and ensure adherence to timelines and service level expectations
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and operational risk frameworks
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and contributing to solution design and implementation
  • Participate in business change initiatives, including requirements gathering, testing, and implementation support
  • Contribute to reporting, data analysis, and operational metrics tracking
  • Provide oversight and guidance to junior team members on day-to-day processes and deliverables

  • Prior experience in capital markets, middle office, or banking operations
  • Experience with trade lifecycle management, trade control, and post-trade processing
  • Knowledge of capital markets products, trade flows, and operational processes
  • Experience with process improvement, business analysis, or operational efficiency initiatives
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including experience with process mapping and process analysis techniques
  • Technical skills in tools such as SQL, VBA, Access, and advanced Excel
  • Understanding of operational risk, controls, and regulatory/compliance requirements within capital markets operations
  • Experience supporting system changes, including requirements gathering, testing, and implementation
