Salary range: A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $110,000 - $125,000. The posted 2026 - 2027 UC Academic Salary Scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment.

Position description

The Division of Infectious Diseases & Global Public Health in the Department of Medicine is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body. We invite applications for Project Scientist, Research Scientist, and Specialist positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full rank.

The successful candidates will be responsible for:
• Leading and/or contributing innovative and significant efforts to the project(s)
• Conducting studies and experiments
• Providing on-site training and teaching to students
• Participating in and/or presenting at scientific meetings
• Analyzing and preparing presentations and reports summarizing data
• Writing and/or contributing to scientific reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals for submission and/or publication.

Appointment rank and level will be based on background and experience.
