Overview of Job Function:

Verint's Architect is responsible for driving the technical roadmap and direction in all aspects of the development of platforms and applications. Subject to specialization, the Architect leads the design, development, testing, publishing, and support of different cloud-based products and solutions and provides subject matter expertise for customer implementation and cloud platform support. Verint's Architect is expected to be engaged in direct coding in new areas to bootstrap teams. They work closely with a global team of engineers to build robust solutions that meet our business objectives following continuous integration and continuous deployment processes and they provide recommendations to management as to process, technologies, or other improvements intended to benefit productivity, efficiency and quality of the solutions developed by the team and lead the implementation of new solutions.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drive cloud-native architecture and implement best practices for software development.
  • Utilize expertise and broad development experience to provide technical leadership to development team members.
  • Drive the technical architecture, design, and development of various product lines.
  • Drive continuous integration and delivery of product using test-driven product development.
  • Effectively communicate designs and architectures at levels appropriate for different target audiences.
  • Maintain a forward-thinking approach with an awareness of new and emerging technologies.
  • Apply service-oriented architecture (SOA) and Microservices disciplines to architect highly available and scalable cloud services.
  • Ensure that team adheres to the design and specifications outlined in the architectural vision and more importantly the product goals.
  • Mentor and guide senior engineers on architectural best practices, design patterns, and technical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architecture and engineering roadmaps.
  • Define and govern API strategy, standards, and contracts across services and product lines.
  • Evaluate and recommend third-party tools, platforms, and technologies to support product and infrastructure needs.
  • Drive security-by-design practices, including threat modeling, secure coding standards, and alignment with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR).
  • Own technical debt strategy, identifying, prioritizing, and road mapping reduction efforts across the platform.
  • Drive capacity planning and performance engineering, establishing scalability targets and performance budgets for cloud services.
  • Maintain architecture documentation through Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), design RFCs, and system diagrams (e.g., C4 model).
  • Contribute cloud cost optimization by guiding architecture decisions that balance performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Participate in P1 production incident calls and major customer escalations as needed, providing architecture-level technical guidance to support incident triage, root cause analysis, mitigation planning, and long-term corrective actions.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related Engineering or Technology degree program or equivalent experience
  • 8 years' experience in software design and development, including experience providing architecture or technical leadership for complex enterprise SaaS products.
  • 5 years experience with Cloud-native architecture and data pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Apache Kafka, Zookeeper, Redis, or similar technologies
  • 5 years experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, DynamoDB and others)
  • Familiarity with application monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, and log aggregation tools like Datadog
  • 5 years experience leading full-stack software development efforts as part of the architect's responsibility, including backend services, APIs, frontend applications, and operational considerations for scalable SaaS products.
  • 5 years hands-on development experience with Java and/or NodeJS for designing and implementing scalable backend services, APIs, and enterprise application components, with the ability to provide technical guidance across full-stack implementation decisions.
  • 5 years experience designing or developing modern frontend applications using ReactJS, including the ability to guide frontend architecture, maintainability, performance, and user experience considerations.
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI-assisted development tools and guiding responsible AI adoption in software architecture, engineering workflows, code quality practices, testing, documentation, and developer productivity improvements.
  • 4 years experience designing integrations across enterprise systems using APIs, event-driven patterns, messaging platforms, data synchronization, and workflow orchestration to support complex operational processes.
  • 5 years experience designing and developing multi-tenant SaaS applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure, including tenant isolation, scalability, security, performance, observability, and operational support considerations.
  • 5 yeras experience designing resilient SaaS services that support mission-critical customer operations across multiple tenants and geographies.
  • 4 years experience designing data models, reporting structures, analytics capabilities, or operational data flows that support workforce planning, performance visibility, compliance needs, and business decision-making.
  • 4 years experience establishing architecture standards, documenting technical decisions, guiding design reviews, and aligning engineering teams around architectural direction.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and willingness and ability to act independently
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with respect to process, technology, software builds, and software releases
  • Experience managing source code control and CI/CD tools like GitHub, Jenkins or similar
  • Strong technical, analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and explain technical concepts to a broad audience, which may include individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge and with different business perspectives
  • Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations


Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience designing or supporting enterprise workforce management, back-office operations, scheduling, forecasting, capacity planning, work allocation, employee self-service, operational workflows, or reporting capabilities.
  • Experience modernizing complex legacy applications or services into cloud-native, modular, scalable architectures while maintaining customer continuity, product stability, and delivery predictability.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development practices, or applied machine learning concepts, with the ability to evaluate practical use cases for improving engineering productivity or product capabilities.
