We're hiring an
Applications Engineer for our Dallas office. This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role - you'll be the technical bridge between our customers and our product team, solving problems that don't have a manual
TasksSome Daily Responsibilities- Ensure successful long-term deployment and integration of our tools into customer workflows.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal product teams to support 8tree's hardware and software development lifecycle.
- Provide technical support & system level troubleshooting/debugging to existing customers.
- Get involved in a variety of engineering activities that fuel the customer experience, including testing and new feature definition.
- Assist Business Development team with pre-sales activities, e.g. customer demos and trade shows.
- Cultivate strong relationships with technical counterparts at the customer.

RequirementsMust-have Requirements- US citizenship (no exceptions)
- In-office position (no exceptions)
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering (any discipline - aerospace, electrical, mechanical, industrial, or related)
- 2-5 years in customer-facing technical role (including internship/co-op equivalent)
- Robust hardware & software debugging skills to resolve technical issues
- Strong computer skills and experience with engineering applications
- Willingness to travel up to ~50%
Nice-to-have (Not required - Don't let these stop you from applying)- Experience troubleshooting complex systems in any technical field
- Experience presenting or explaining technical topics to non-technical audiences
- Background in customer support, field service, or technical sales engineering
- Exposure to 3D metrology, NDT, quality inspection, or precision measurement systems
- Experience in aviation, aerospace, wind energy, or automotive quality engineering
