ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED
We are seeking an adaptable, hands-on Linux DevOps & Platform Engineer to drive system reliability, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure performance across multi-cloud environments. In this high-impact operational role, you will manage, secure, and troubleshoot production Linux virtual machines (RHEL 8/9) spanning OpenStack, VMware, and AWS environments. You will maintain automation via Ansible playbooks, monitor Kubernetes cluster health using Rancher, support Apache NiFi dataflows, and own the end-to-end PKI certificate lifecycle. Partnering directly with development teams, you will tackle everything from application-level log analysis to complex cluster builds.
The annual base salary range for this role is $172,000-$203,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Required Skills
Linux System Administration: Advanced experience administering, securing, and hardening Linux virtual machines (specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9) across hybrid cloud environments (OpenStack, VMware, AWS).
Kubernetes & Container Orchestration: Hands-on experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and managing Kubernetes cluster health, nodes, and pods using Rancher or native kubectl commands.
Infrastructure Automation & Patching: Expertise in writing and maintaining Ansible playbooks to push system updates, managing software packages via YUM/enterprise repositories, and automating VM provisioning.
PKI & Security Compliance: Experience managing the full lifecycle of server and PKI certificates while ensuring system compliance with STIG and SSP security requirements.
Data Flow Support (Apache NiFi): Practical experience supporting Apache NiFi deployments, including configuration updates, dataflow monitoring, and resolving connectivity or resource constraints.
System Diagnostics & Log Analysis: Strong troubleshooting capability in analyzing logs to isolate root causes of performance degradation across VM, container, and application layers.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, Finance/Economics, or a related discipline, PLUS 8+ years of specialized data analytics or financial intelligence experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 12+ years of hands-on intelligence analysis, financial tracking, and data discovery experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired Skills
Multi-Cloud Administration: Deep experience with AWS cloud services, VMware vSphere administration, or OpenStack platform tools.
CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated test and deployment steps into enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
Advanced Monitoring: Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and alerting platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
