Were looking for an
Android Software Engineer to join our team. As part of our growing team, youll play a key role in protecting enterprises from cyber threats, while working with some of the brightest minds in cybersecurity and Identity Access Management.
About SemperisSemperis protects hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID environments for enterprises worldwide. Our products help security and identity teams detect, respond to, and recover from identity-driven attacks.
About Ready1Ready1 is a mobile incident-response product that helps security and identity teams act quickly when they are away from their desks. It enables teams to triage incidents, coordinate response activities, join secure video bridges, and communicate in real time. Built for enterprise environments, Ready1 supports secure authentication, multi-region services, and reliable mobile workflows across Android and iOS.
What Youll Be DoingYoull own secure, production-ready Android features for Ready1 from design through Google Play release. Youll collaborate with iOS, backend, product, design, QA, and security partners to improve reliability, quality, and delivery speed for identity and incident-response teams operating across regions.
Your Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, test, and ship native Android features in Kotlin for Ready1.
- Build and evolve Jetpack Compose interfaces while thoughtfully migrating legacy RecyclerView and XML components.
- Implement and maintain secure authentication and session flows using technologies such as MSAL, Azure AD B2C, biometrics, and passkeys.
- Integrate REST APIs (Retrofit / OkHttp) with resilient loading, error, retry, and empty states, including support for multi-region routing.
- Contribute to real-time chat and video experiences using SignalR, WebSockets, and Azure Communication Services.
- Apply and improve app architecture using Hilt dependency injection, ViewModels, repositories, use cases, and clear feature packages.
- Write unit and UI tests and maintain small, reviewable pull requests that meet quality and coverage standards.
- Support release activities, including Gradle flavors, signing, Play Console uploads, and post-release crash and log triage.
- Apply secure mobile practices for tokens, secrets, permissions, local data, logging, and privacy.
- Collaborate across engineering, product, design, QA, and security to clarify requirements, communicate tradeoffs, and deliver supportable releases.
What You Bring to the Table- Typically 3+ years of experience shipping production Android applications.
- Strong Kotlin and Android SDK fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience building production interfaces with Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with coroutines, Flow, and lifecycle-aware Android architecture.
- Working knowledge of Jetpack components, including ViewModel and Navigation, and Gradle-based projects in Android Studio.
- Experience integrating REST and JSON APIs (ideally Retrofit / OkHttp) and troubleshooting authentication, token refresh, and unreliable network conditions.
- An automated testing mindset, with experience in unit testing and Android UI testing.
- Familiarity with Git, pull requests, code review, and continuous integration.
- Practical understanding of mobile security, including secure handling of tokens, secrets, permissions, and local data.
- Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to take a feature from ambiguity to a supportable release.
Bonus Points- Experience with MSAL, Azure AD B2C, OAuth/OIDC, passkeys, WebAuthn, or enterprise identity-provider integrations.
- Experience using Hilt or Dagger dependency injection in a non-trivial application.
- Experience with real-time clients such as SignalR or WebSockets, or with VoIP and video technologies such as Azure Communication Services or WebRTC.
- Experience with multi-flavor or multi-environment builds, Play App Signing, internal testing, and staged rollouts.
- Experience with Crashlytics or similar diagnostics, structured logging, and production incident triage.
- Experience with cybersecurity products, security operations or incident-response tools, or regulated enterprise software.
- Experience with accessibility, internationalization, feature flags, or design systems.
- Comfort working around native NDK or C++ modules, or collaborating on shared mobile product decisions across Android and iOS.
