What you’ll be doing

As a member of the Enterprise Capabilities and Organizational Agility team, you’ll play a key role in supporting CIBC’s transformation toward a more agile, client-focused organization. As an Agile Coach Lead, you’ll partner with teams and leaders to adopt and embed agile principles and ways of working, driving business agility, performance, and client-centered delivery. You’ll enable high performance through data-driven insights and agile operating models, while shaping a culture of empowerment and meaningful outcomes. You will also help address organizational challenges and support capability development across the business.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Enable and Mentor Teams– Influence and guide leaders, Product Owners, squads, and crews in adopting agile principles and mindsets. Provide coaching and mentorship to foster empowered, high-performing teams.

  • Drive continuous improvement – Lead the development and execution of planning and capability uplift initiatives. Proactively identify and address organizational challenges to enhance team effectiveness.

  • Partner and collaborate – Work closely with leadership, stakeholders, and Product Owners to drive culture change, embed agility, and improve delivery of valuable outcomes. This includes supporting them to manage roadmaps, create resource plans, and facilitate agile ceremonies. Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external partners to advance agile adoption.

  • Demonstrate Team leadership – Set clear context and expectations, develop individual and team capabilities, and manage performance to create a positive, purpose-driven work environment aligned with CIBC’s values.

Who you are

  • Technical skills- You have advanced knowledge of agile principles, frameworks, and facilitation techniques. You can demonstrate experience in delivery, leadership, and/or team coaching. You have 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Agile Coach, Project Manager, or Scrum Master. You have expertise with agile tools (i.e., Jira, Confluence).

  • Certified Professional- It would be an asset if you hold certifications such as SAFe® Agilist, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or PMI-ACP, highlighting your expertise and commitment to agile coaching.
