Full Job Description
In this role, you will lead complex engineering projects focused on the design, analysis, and development of advanced aerospace components and systems. Serving as a technical leader within multidisciplinary teams, you will oversee comprehensive testing, conduct aerodynamic and performance evaluations, manage project timelines, and ensure all work adheres to industry best practices. Additionally, you will review and approve technical documentation, lead design reviews, and provide crucial guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

What We're Looking For Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related technical discipline (6+ years of relevant experience; higher-level degree may substitute for experience).
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering tasks and mentoring junior engineers within multidisciplinary design and development teams.
  • Strong background in applying core engineering principles and practices throughout the full product development lifecycle.

Must-Have Skills
  • Aerospace System Design & Analysis: Proven ability to lead the design, development, and testing of complex aerospace components and systems.
  • CAE & CFD Simulations: Solid understanding of Computer-Aided Engineering tools, specifically Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations.
  • Project & Technical Leadership: Experience conducting design reviews, managing project timelines/resources, approving technical reports, and mentoring team members.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Skill in interfacing effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred)
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience with CFD software (specifically StarCCM+) and high-performance computing on Linux platforms.
  • Hands-on expertise in developing aircraft aerodynamic databases, heat transfer analysis, static stability, component loads, and aircraft performance analysis.
  • Experience with wind tunnel testing, flight testing, store separation, or 6DOF analysis.
  • Knowledge of parametric design, Model-Based Definition (MBD), and flight mechanics fundamentals in an Aerospace & Defense environment.
