What we are looking for:The Advisor, Compensation translates business needs into effective compensation solutions that support the organization's talent strategy. This role is responsible for the design, governance, and execution of compensation programs, while ensuring market competitiveness, internal equity, and regulatory compliance. The position partners closely with Finance, and business leaders to manage key compensation cycles and initiatives.
Your responsibilities:- Translate business needs into compensation solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
- Own and support the execution of annual compensation cycles, including merit increases, bonus processes, and salary planning in alignment with budgets.
- In collaboration with the Vice President, Compensation, design, implement, and govern compensation programs, including base salary structures, performance-based incentives (short- and long-term) and commission plans.
- Conduct job evaluations and maintain job architecture frameworks.
- Lead and participate in compensation surveys across regions and business segments; perform market benchmarking and competitiveness analyses.
- Ensure pay equity across the organization and support related reviews and reporting.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to provide advisory support and ensure effective implementation of compensation programs.
- Collaborate with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate execution of compensation processes and alignment with financial planning.
- Contribute to compensation projects and broader organizational initiatives.
- Participate in global, cross-functional workstreams as a subject matter expert.
- Ensure all compensation policies, programs, and practices comply with applicable legislation and internal governance standards.
- Support other compensation functions.
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Actuarial Science, Commerce, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in compensation within a multi-country organization
- CHRP designation considered an asset
- CCP designation considered an asset
- Proven experience in supporting the design and implementation of compensation programs (base salary, short-term and long-term incentives, commission plans, etc.)
- Strong financial and business acumen with advanced analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Experience in the asset management industry is an asset
- Experience with HRIS systems (Workday)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
- Advanced Excel skills; strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to navigate and perform in a constantly evolving environment
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools / database systems
